| It includes at north east the area of Borgo La Croce, with the Sant'Ambrogio market , - Santa Croce towards east south – Piazza della Signoria at south - Dome and towards north Piazza della Signoria, flanked from Palzzo Vecchio and the Uffizi, one of the main galleries of the Italian Art. Piazza della Signoria is rich of statues and monuments, such as the Neptune Fountain by Ammannati and the copy of the David of Michelangelo. Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace) that still today accommodates the offices of the municipality, is nearly entire open to visitors and you can admire magnificent frescoes and decorations. Between the Old Palace and the Arno river is located the Uffizi Palace with its Museum, one of the most beautiful in Europe, than conserve the greatest Italian and foreign art works. Some of the masterpieces to admire are the “Birth of Venere” by Botticelli, the “Sacred Family” by Michelangelo and the portraits of Federico from Montefeltro and his wife, by Piero Della Francesca.
