Flaminio is the name of the first quarter of Rome, located in the north area of the city, close to the Mura Aureliane and the river Tiber. Till the end of the XIX century, along the rectilinear of via Flaminia, it reached the ancient Milvio bridge. During the years, a substantial transformation and urbanization of the entire area between the river and the slopes of the Parioli hill, made the quarter one of the most chic and intellectual zones of Rome, separated from the historical centre of Rome only from one of the greenest parks: “Villa Borghese”. During the last few years the value of real estate is increased equalling the zone to the centre. Parioli is the name of the second quarter of Rome. The name derives from the denomination of " Parioli mounts” given to a group of hills before the urbanization of the area, happened in the beginnings of the 1900's. Some assert that the name comes from “peraioli”, because of the cultivations of pear trees once located in the area. The Parioli quarter, like the Flaminio, in one of the fifteenrised in Rome in 1911. The elegant quarter, once famous for the luxury residences of noble roman families, is today a chic quarter, the hart of high life and home of famous artists and actors, and the site, among other things, of the Park of the Museums, the “Auditorium” Park of Music, Villa Glori, Villa Balestra and Villa Ada.
